Classes & Clubs

Parable Dance run weekly inclusive dance classes in Brighton and Worthing for children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. Our Brighton classes are delivered in partnership with South East Dance and our Worthing classes in partnership with Mencap.

All sessions are fun, creative and designed with and for participants, led by our award-winning team with over 25 years of inclusive dance experience. Each term runs for 10 weeks, with a break in line with the school half-term holiday. Classes cost £8 per week (bursary places are available)

Brighton Classes – Thursdays at The Dance Space, Circus Street

  • Youth Class (10–18 yrs): 5.15–6.15pm
  • Adult Class (19+ yrs): 6.30–8.00pm

Classes are currently full and operating a waiting list. You can join the waiting list by completing our Class signup form.

Worthing Class – Mondays at Davison Leisure Centre

Supported by Mencap, we are launching a new adult class in Worthing from January.

  • Adult Class (18+): 7.00–8.30pm

HOLIDAY CLUBS

For people receiving SEND support in Brighton & Hove, aged 12-25 years.

We are proud to have been selected as one of seven SEND holiday club providers by Brighton and Hove City Council. We are running three day courses at The Dance Space in central Brighton. The clubs are 10am-3pm each day but please do speak to us to tailor the programme to best suit your young person.

She has come home every day looking taller and more grown up. Excited to get up in the morning and come. I have been blown away by seeing the performance. I'm just so proud seeing all the dancers and to see my daughter lead and dance a long routine so well. Just amazing.

Alternative Provision (AP)

We offer one to one alternative provision sessions for children in Brighton and Hove who aren't attending school. Dance sessions are designed to support the educational needs of young people with SEND, who have found school settings challenging. Sessions focus on building confidence and helping the child to transition back to school / community life. BALLET with NYB

Parable Dance work in partnership with National Youth Ballet on a project called All In! As part of this collaboration there are classes on Thursday evenings during the school holidays for participants aged 14-30. More info and booking through the South East Dance website.
