Networks

At Parable Dance we strongly believe in the importance of community, support, and collaboration. We have created two different networks to help connect people from around the UK and beyond: Cuppa Catch Ups and The Network for Emerging Inclusive Dancers.

Cuppa Catch Ups

Our intention for starting this frequent networking meeting for experienced inclusive dance artists, was to stay connected, share opportunities, and feel less isolated as we came out of the pandemic. Now that we're all busy again, we have altered the format. The Cuppa Catch Up group will now have an annual networking event with hosts presenting a relevant topic. If you would like to join the email list for this group, please get in touch info@parabledance.co.uk

NEID

Network for Emerging Inclusive Dancers (NEID)

Are you interested in inclusive dance but not sure where to start? Do you need support and signposting to opportunities? Do you want to connect with others interested in this area of work? Join the Network for Emerging Inclusive Dancers (NEID). It is FREE to join, and includes presentations from established inclusive dance artists from around the UK. NEID is best suited for dancers in England, but we welcome those from throughout the UK. NEID was made possible using public funding by Arts Council England.

Feel free to attend meetings when you can, it is not necessary to attend every one. The Network meetings generally take place on the last Tuesday, every other month. The next meetings will take place on:

- Tuesday 28th May 2024, 4-5pm – Guest speakers from DanceSyndrome

- Tuesday 25th June 2024, 4-5pm – Guest speaker Amy Groves

- Tuesday 24th September 2024, 4-5pm  – Guest speaker Joe Powell-Main

- Tuesday 26th November 2024, 4-5pm – Guest speakers from People Dancing

- Tuesday 28th January 2025, 4-5pm – Guest speaker tbc

Email info@parabledance.co.uk for more information or to register your interest. Once on our contact list, you will be sent booking details for each meeting.

I feel grateful to have met such a warm, knowledgeable and generous network of freelancers working across the UK.
